Loading the Game –

In order for the ingame text to display correctly, a Kanji ROM is required.
– fm7: under Device->Option, check Kanji ROM, then reset the machine.
Load either the .t77 or .wav file;
Type LOAD then press Enter;
After the game loads, type RUN then press enter to start the game.

Game Instructions –

At the title screen wait until “[RET.] for START” appears, then press Enter to start the game. Press Tab to place your bait, then press Space to cast your line. Watch your hook carefully, and as soon as a fish bites, press [F1] to reel in your catch.

You’ll be able to see whether you successfully caught a fish or not after you’ve pulled it out of the water. If you manage to hook a fish, press Enter to remove it from your hook.
Of course, if you fail to react to your line in time enough times, the fish will run away with your bait. You can lift your line with [F6], but keep in mind this will make the fish run away.
Just as in the real deal, there are days when you manage to catch a lot of fish, and others when you don’t catch any. There’s also the possibility that the fish may gradually stop taking your bait.
If you want the experience to feel more game-like, press Space instead of Enter at the title screen. This will display a score in the top-left corner of the screen.
In case you want to try your hand at modding the game, you can press [L] at the title screen to list the game’s code, or [S] to save the game to your preferred storage media.
