VIXIV
FOR PC-8001, mkII / 8801, mkII N-BASIC
BY Hiroshi Yamamoto
How to Play
This is apparently read as “Vixiv.” Just so you know.
In the cosmic year 1035, Planet Duran was on the brink of extinction due to an invasion by the Galcher people. Then, a newly developed fighter jet called the Pyramis appears at the bottom of the screen.
You must move this Pyramis left and right with the ① and ③ keys, fire the Wave Cannon with the ② key, and defeat the enemy craft.
The number of enemy craft is displayed on the indicator at the bottom of the screen. If the number of enemies increases until the meter is full, it’s game over. If you survive for a certain amount of time, you’ll clear the stage and get a 1000 point bonus.
To replay, press the HOME CLR key.
Author’s Bio –
The age-unknown, eccentric civil servant, the man of a hundred faces, Mr. Hiroshi Yamamoto.
“The idea of making this missile scroll is something I’ve had for a while, and the key point was how fun I could make it. VIXIV doesn’t quite reach that goal, and while I wouldn’t call it my best work, it’s okay, and I think it’s at least playable.”

F ······ Enemy Points 10~ 30 Initial Setup It’s a pretty engrossing game, but being bad at games, I just can’t get past stage 2. So, in this game, it’s game over when 13 enemy craft appear on screen. Therefore, I tried changing D=13 on line 180 to a suitable number.
S ······ Score 40~ 80 Screen Display Also, if you change the 13 and 25 in LINE (13,24)-(25,24) on line 50 to match the number you entered for D, you can successfully modify the indicator at the bottom of the screen as well.
T ······ Stage Number 90 Main Loop Start If you don’t like the enemy character sprite, try changing the value of C on line 20.
M ······ Enemy Appearance Frequency 100 Own Ship Display ★ The ‘Yossha!’ Award.
